Chignon

Chi′gnon (shĭn′yŏn; F· shē′nyôN′), n. [F., prop. equiv. to chaînon link, fr. chaîne chain, fr. L. catena Cf. Chain.] A knot, boss, or mass of hair, natural or artificial, worn by a woman at the back of the head.
